Promote Your Individual Sustainable Data Globally by Claiming Your Own Entry in the Green Travel Index Database Now!

Berlin, March 6th, 2023: The leading global B2B database for sustainable tourism Green Travel Index has just launched its version 6 which now includes customized API interfaces, standard sustainable amenities such as GlobalTypes® and connectivity to leading tour operators in Europe.

“Now is the perfect time for sustainably certified tourism businesses to claim and customize their listing in the Green Travel Index database”, says Elke Brosin, Green Travel Index program director.

Together with the German Travel Association DRV and the travel industry software specialist Peakwork, Green Travel Index has developed GlobalTypes® with more than 150 attributes for sustainable travel to make socially and environmentally responsible travel offers comparable.

These GlobalTypes® have now been integrated into the Green Travel Index database. The Green Travel Index (GTI) is the first global B2B platform to position sustainable content in the mainstream tourism distribution channels. As a neutral, independent and non-bookable platform, GTI delivers information from registered, sustainably certified companies to the travel chain with the goal to not only make their products more visible and easily accessible but also to raise consumer awareness and facilitate bookings. One of the prime features of the GTI database is its GIATA multicode interface.

Certification programs such as Adventure Green Alaska, Austrian Ecolabel, Biosphere, Earthcheck, Ecotourism Australia, Green Key FEE, Green Key Global, GreenGlobe, Hilton Light Stay, GreenSign, GreenStar Hotels, Preferred by Nature, Qualmark, Tourcert or Travelife are already part of the Green Travel Index database representing over 17’000 sustainably operating tourism businesses.

In order to claim a listing and customize an entry, tourism businesses who are currently certified by any of the certification programs listed above are encouraged to register as a supplier on the GTI website under https://greentravelindex.com, find their company name through the search function and then choose the button claim listing.
